Grosse Pointe North High School opened in 1968. It is home more than 1500 students in grades 9 - 12, about 160 faculty and staff members, and countless parent volunteers, coaches, and club sponsors who work together to make North one of the best schools in the nation.

the Michigan State Basketball Championships in 2008Tom Prystal said: "Ariel can do it all; she has long arms and had 5 steals at half time of the state championship game; she can hit the three pointer; she can swat shots on defense; she plays hard!"
