East Coast Index Boy’s Report Aug. 14th at Spooky Nook

I thought the overall speed of the game and versatility of the players led to a very high level of play at the event on the 14th. Obviously the 6’10” product out of Church Farm (John Bol Ajak) was changing the game above the rim all day. Take that with Kavon Cramer’s (Mt. Pleasant DE) two alley oop dunks in the first 10 minutes of his game and you have a recipe for high level competition.  Chandler Hill was very good at playing inside and out from Bishop Ireton, VA. Finally at the guard slot, Julio Tamaklde out of Gaithersburg, MD was all over the court making plays on his way to a two time MVP performance. I look forward to seeing these players on my “Top 40” list returning to perform in the Fall! Here are my “Top 40” All Stars:

Nolan Genasevich – Hazleton…MVP performer, plays the game inside and out at 6”8”
Kendall Blount – St. Joseph (Hammonton, NJ)…does it all at both ends, nice skill set and athlete
Ryan Hughes – Middletown PA… tall combo guard, posts up or shoots the 3 based on match up
Isaiah Bishop – Northwest MD…very tough attacking the rim, rangy and athletic
Ricardo Holmes – William Penn DE…shoots it, sees the floor, playmaker
Etan Haupt – Holidaysburg…great all around game, MVP honors, scores the ball
Tre’von Williams – Greater Johnstown…gets to the rim, rangy and athletic
John Bol Ajak – Church Farm…shot blocker, runs the floor, plays above the rim
Kavon Cramer – Mt. Pleasant DE…finishes at the rim, strong around the basket, super athletic
