East Coast Index Boys Report June 14th@ Spooky Nook

 

The players that attended the largest indoor facility in the country did not disappoint ! My Co-MVP’s on the day were Devante Bailey out of Potomac, Virginia and Andre Blue-Eli out of Deptford Twp., New Jersey.  My top “Bigs” on the day were Jordan Rawls out of Taylor Allderdice in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and Ryan Albert from Huntingtown, Maryland. At the guard position Mike Strazza out of St. Peter’s Prep in New Jersey was at the top of my list along with Blake Berne from Tenafly, New Jersey. Here are my top players for the day:

Shamar Johnson – Potomac VA…shoots the 3, nice getting to the rim
Winston Delk – West Windsor…great in space, shoots the 3
Cordell Muthler – Central Mountain…shoots it, stat stuffer
Kenneth Proby – Columbus, OH…long rangy and athletic, gets to the rim
Devante Bailey – Potomac, VA…scores the ball in a variety of ways, great in space
Blake Berne – Tenafly, NJ…nice passer, gets to rim hard, good all around game
Brody Baker – solid all around game, scores the ball, high bball IQ
Richard Flemming – Sussex Central DE…super athletic guard, great in transition
Jonathan Devito – Pittsburgh Central Cath…solid guard, shoots 50% from 3!
Preston Hickman – Delaware Acad. Of Public Safety…great passer, shoots the 3, gets to the cup
Chiamaka Browne – Monroe Community, NY…college type body, skilled, handles, gets to the rim
Mark Chelius – Blue Mountain…Good in open ct, finisher, shoots the 3
Cameron Lewis – Lake Forest, DE…..driver who finishes, long and athletic
Ryan Albert – Huntingtown, MD…”Big” who shoots 3’s, nice face up game
Grant Beyer – St. Joseph’s Collegiate…shoots the 3, gets to the cup, heady player
Shakur “Pop” Myers – World Charter Communications…good off the bounce, shoots it, assists on break
Keandre Augustine – Roslyn, NY…crafty, nice off the dribble, automatic from downtown
Ryan Cotchen – Conemaugh Twp…nice all around guard, no problem getting to the rim
Jordan Rawls – Taylor Allderdice…nice inside outside game for a big, starts break off the glass on his own
Mike Strazza – St. Peter’s Prep…great shooter, great off the dribble,nice spin move to the rim
Ryan Kendra – Upper Perkiomen…gets to rim, excellent in transition
Zach Kopp – Watertown CT…finishes with up and under, solid screen and roll player
Joe Lonardi – Elizabethtown…finishes, scores with the ball, knows how to move without the ball
Gary Brown – Camden Catholic…nice guard, gets to rim easily, shoots the 3 ball
Bryce Mondorff – Delone Catholic…nice big who runs the floor, drives the ball in his face up game
Tarjah Faikai – Interboro…handles it, gets to the rim, has a euro step move
John Grossi – Oceanside, NY…shoots the 3, tremendous passer on the break
Justin Rodriguez – Western Wayne…shoots it and posts up from a guard position, always around the ball
Darrien Richards – Milton Hershey…long and athletic, shoots the 3, strong to the rim in transition
Noah Anders – Belleville Mennonite…nice with the ball, shoots the 3
John McClosky – Hopatcong, NJ…versatile with size, shoots it, sees the floor, stat stuffer
Matt LaCorte – Westfield, NJ…gets to rim and shoots it
LaShawn Elliott – Oakcoast, NJ…athletic finisher, shoots the 3, shot blocker
Jody Morales – Bishop McDevitt…creates steals and starts the break
Anthony Diaz – Bishop McDevitt…guard who sees the floor and can get to the rim
William Devon Banks – Potomac VA…finishes in open floor, athletic
Andrew Bithell – Tussey Mountain…boards well, handles the rock, scores the ball
Marcus Hall – Trinity …lefty shooter can also get to the rim, athletic
Jack Bucher – Trinity…can put it on the floor with size,,handles, shoots it, complete player
Jayden Iturmendi-Roach – York High…long and athletic combo guard, great off the bounce
Blake Thomson – Cedar Crest…finishes in open floor, good passer off the bounce, shoots it
Andre Blue-Eli – Deptford Twp. NJ…gets to the rim, shoots 3 off the dribble from top of key!
Blake Conquest – Osbourn Park, VA…gets to the rim, nice all around player, stat stuffer
Cameron Keck – Waynesboro…shoots the 3 relentlessly, knows the game at both ends
Malik Miller – Tech Prep Wash D.C…gets to the rim strong, scores the ball in a variety of ways
Drew Friberg – State College…a “Big” who shoots it! Finishes around the hop as well


 


All of the Big 60 Showcase games are worked by certified PIAA officials which are assigned by Donny Eppley.  Thanks to Mr. Eppley for the hard work he does to supply quality officials for all the Central Pennsylvania basketball games.
