Pennsylvania Girls 101 Maryland Girls 98

Michael Serpone the coach of North Point in Maryland had the Maryland Girls out of the gate quickly to a 6-0 lead, but the Pennsylvania girls came at Maryland in waves to just barely outlast them by 3 in the highest scoring girls game in the All Star Game’s 41 year history! Lili Benzel of Bishop Guilfoyle High School led PA with 21 points on 4 threes.  Sam Breen of North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh had 18 points. Alexis Smith from Central Dauphin 2 miles down the road chipped in 14 for the high scoring PA Girls team. Jenay Faulkner of Greencastle added 12. Maryland was led by the single game record performance of Abigail Meyers of Walt Whitman H.S. in Maryland. She had 34 points on 4 threes. She chose Princeton over Stanford and Northwestern for her college choice. NeCole Hope out of North Point had 18 for a athletic Maryland squad. Kirsten Searcy from St. Maria Goretti had 12. Joe Landolfi from Altoona guided a steady Pennsylvania team performance.
